What We Do on Rain Days
What We Do on Rain Days
Rainy days are a part of the job in lawn care—and while they might slow us down, they don’t stop us. At Fresh Cut Pros, we’ve built systems to keep things moving even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Here's how we handle rain days and what you can expect from us when the skies are gray.
We Stay Productive at the Shop
When conditions prevent us from mowing or fertilizing safely, our crews don’t sit idle. We use that time to:
• Perform preventative maintenance on our equipment
• Clean and sharpen blades
• Prepare for upcoming landscape jobs like mulch installs or bed maintenance
Taking care of our tools on a rain day helps us move faster and deliver cleaner results when the grass dries.
Service Might Be Delayed—But Only Briefly
If we’re delayed due to rain, we’ll still aim to complete your service within the business week (Monday through Friday). If it’s just a one-day delay, we don’t send a notification—we know you’re aware of the weather, and we’ll be out as soon as conditions allow.
In the rare case we can’t service your property by the end of the business week, we’ll send an email to let you know and keep you in the loop.
This level of delay has only happened once or twice in the past three years. We pride ourselves on being reliable, rain or shine.
If the Weather Clears, We Head Back Out
Our crews monitor conditions throughout the day. If the rain stops and lawns begin to dry, we’ll often send teams out the same afternoon to pick up where we left off. Whether it’s mowing or landscaping, we’re always ready to pivot and get back to work.
Have a Project We Can Do in the Rain?
Not every service needs perfect weather. Rain days are a great time for certain landscape tasks, like mulch installation or light bed work. If you're interested in booking a project like that, reach out—our team may be able to fit it in during the next rain delay.
Bottom Line
Rain days don’t derail us. They just shift the focus. From maintenance to landscaping, our teams stay sharp, stay busy, and stay committed to delivering the service you expect.
